Jane Sutton, last Runyon Shaker descendant
In the summer of 1897, The Shaker Hotel was opened for boarders by Sister Jane Sutton [in the former East Family dwelling]. It subsequently became known as the Shakertown Inn. (Thomas, p. 48).
