About

My efforts to document my family history, as it relates to the Shakers, began June 2001 during my second visit to Pleasant Hill, Kentucky. The result was a website: Our Shaker Heritage. Thousands of visitors have viewed the Runyon family journal entries and descriptions of life in the Shaker community. I created this blog to expand on that initial research and make it searchable by subject matter (see right sidebar, Search by Topic)
